6.0 into F-body
Im thinking about picking up a 6.0 out of a 2005 caddy EXT. If im correct this would be a LQ9?? I wanted to build it up as a budget backup motor.
I guess my first question is, is this an LQ9?
This will just drop right in right? I would basically be just using the short block and heads off of the 6.0 and everything else would bolt up from my LS1?

First off DO A SEARCH. People including me have put the LQ4/9 into an f-body sense it came out.
Yes it is an lq9
Yes it will drop right in
No everything will not bolt up the way it is. You need to drill and tap for one of the alternator bolts.
I would pull the 5.7 and stab in the the 6.0 with a cam.
