Default 4.8 with LS1 manifolds

Hey guys, quick question. I am putting a 4.8 in a 442 and am using F body LS1 exhaust manifolds, which gaskets do I want to use?? LS1 gaskets, or the truck engine gaskets?? The heads are 862's. Thanks for any info.

would not make any differents.. they are both Gen III engines.. and should have the same port configuration. If you have a used set. .as long as they are in good shape.. use them..

Ya, I got a used set, the ones that came with the 4.8. Im new to this LS engine scene and these gaskets are wierd to me, lol. They are 3 or 4 layers of metal squeezed together. You guys say they should be ok to be reused?? They looked like they were in decent shape, but with those, I dont really know what Im looking at, they are different to me.

Cool thanks for the info. Haha, you've never bought parts from a dealership in Canada before if you think they are gonna be cheap. They absolutely RIP Canadians off. Ill try them out and if they leak, I wont be surprised and just replace them. Thanks for the help guys. BTW, what do you recommend for the manifold to Y pipe flange?? Just the NAPA gasket should do?? I need the LS1 style there.
