Default Any other power steering pumps or pulleys work with F-body?

In attempting to install the F-body pump, my suspension cradle is slightly too narrow. I looked at my 1998 Sonoma, and the pump is similar, with a 5 1/2" pulley rather than 6 1/2".

Has anyone:
1. Used a different GM pump and pulley assembly successfully for a clearance issue?
2. Know which pulleys from other GM vehicles interchange on the F-body pump?

The GTO's come with 2 size's of pulleys, not sure their size though, could be worth investigating.

I knew the GTO's would fit. not crazy about th off white/yellow translucent reservoir. I wonder if the pulleys interchange? Are the pumps the same, or do they use different fittings?

Not sure if it will work for you or not, but Summit has one (SUM-340203) that looks like it worked for my LS2 (out of a 2005 vette) swap into a 65 vette. I had to machine some of the material off of the back of the pulley, where it mounts on the shaft so that I could mount the pulley deeper onto the pump. Good Luck with your project!

Look at a pulley from around an 88 to 93 ford Econoline van They're smaller and have the same shaft size. Some of the 3.1 FWD pulleys will work, but you have to press them further on the shaft. I don't like those pulleys because they're plastic, the ford pulley is metal

Looks like you have room for a Truck drive setup, it switches the alt and PS on one bracket... I don't have a pic, but I am sure there is one on here somewhere..

I have a pulley from these guys on my LS1-

http://www.howeperformance.com/accessories-pulleys.htm

I didn't put it on for clearance - I wanted the pump to turn faster to drive a large power steering ram, but it is considerably smaller than stock and might solve your clearance problems

Mine is the #315 'Desert Series' and is 5.375". I have a stock one sitting around here and it measures about 6.6"

Hope this helps

PS - They sell a filter/reservoir that's really **** too if you want to loose that plastic one and go remote.
