I am planning a 5.3 swap into a n 83 s10. I am going to the junk yard on monday to get a motor.
-I am planning on getting all ther accesories(I want to run A/C) and ecu is there anything else I should get?

-Is there a better year for the 5.3 than others I am going to swap to a ls1 intake, rails, and injectors and use an after market harness and I know some of the 5.3's had fly by wire does that matter as far as the ecu when I swich intakes?

Get the fuel stuff (including pump assembly) from the donor as well as the throttle cable, and coolant stuff.
