LS mount plates on 68 camaro
I have an L92 going into a 68 camaro with Hooker headers. I purchased the + or- 1" adjustable LS mount plates.
Currently, the engine needs to be very close to the firewall for the headers to clear the steering box. BUT the closer to the firewall the engine is, the more the alternator backs into / hits the subframe.
I think a solution is the engine back as far as possible to the fire wall and perhaps TALLER engine mounts so the alternator will no longer be too low to hit the subframe.
Any ideas on taller mounts? Or kits that work?
Thanks!
