So I have a 72 chevlle and 'm putting a 5.3L in it.

I have both a truck intake and injectors and an ls1 intake with injectors.

my question is for the guys that have done this before cause I have not.

Which intake will give me the best balance of low end torque and hp for my muscle car.

I will be using a ported cable throttle body for wither of them.

the truck intake is way better than the ls1 intake.consider this cam,54-455-11 .

really the truck is better? what are its benefits over the ls1 if you don't mind me asking?

truck intake will clear the hood only prob with the ls1 intake is youll need extra parts to use the truck brackets

if u switch to the ls1 style intake u have to switch ur injector plugins also i have been told the truck intake is a better flowing intake than the ls1 style

unless that "ls1" intake happens to be from a 2001+ car, then it is the ls6 which makes more power than both the others.

what are the tell tale signs of an ls6 intake? how do I I'd it? its from a c5 vette and it has rails and injectors.

i havent got my harness yet so thats why im trying to decide.

so consensus is unless its actually an ls6 intake stick with the truck intake for a street motor
