Default MAF/intake trouble

I am concerned that I am getting a bad MAF signal. My car will not idle worth anything. I have a 228R112 cam and headers, everything else is stock. Here are my concerns:

1) I soldered extensions to the harness so it would reach the MAF. I have head that the signal can be very sensitive to the impedence of the wires. I extended the wires about 6" and used a single soldered connection in each of the three wires.

2) I am getting some strange resonance or pulsing returning from the closed throttle. I have a 90 deg bend between the MAF and the throttle. and I am worried that's causing problems. However, I have seen a lot of funky stuff on the forums here that no one has complained about.

Thanks for your advice.

Default

6" is nothing for wiring extensions. As long as your solders are good it should be fine. For GP, do a continuity test across the MAF signal wire from the PCM to harness connector. Replace the wire if its above 1.5ohms
