Default 68 Chevy C10

This is my 68 chevy truck that my dad and i built and are still building.

I bought the truck on my first tour to Iraq, and on my second, I bought the LS1/4L60E from a 2001 Camaro SS. We got the engine finally installed in May of this year, and I have been driving the wheels off of it ever since.

Here is the truck with the clip off getting ready to have the motor pulled.

Here is the engine sitting on the crate ready to go

After we got the old one out, we notched the frame, welded in the new mounts, and dropped in the LS1.

Here is the new ECU and Wiring harness from Howell

Here the truck sits with the LS1 in it. We still needed to install the fuel pump and lines.

Here the truck sits with the motor running and ready to go.

we added a Spectre intake from a 1999-2006 Silverado

Here it is in May at Buffalo Trace at a photo shoot

mine too. Just wait until I get back home. It will look nothing like this. Atomic Orange Paint, 19" C6 Z06 wheels, black and tan leather interior with Corvette Buckets, and air ride.

Looks great, awesome job!!! I just re-swapped my 69' C10 from a 5.3L to a fully built 6.0L swap! Very cool to do in these old trucks.

yea, i just wanted it in there, no major mods as this truck gets driven. A LOT. I get about 20 mpg in the city, and about 17 on the freeway.

well not much has happened to Nasty while I have been in San Diego, mainly been focusing on getting the Ranger up and going. I am buying the paint for the truck this january, going with Atomic Orange Metallic. Still going to keep the corvette theme, so i will have to find some 5x5 to 5x4.5 adapters. Going with 19x10 C6 Z06 rims all the way around.

We just bought 4 more trucks. 2 68 Chevys, and 2 71 GMCs. we will be swapping the clips and restoring at least one of them with this front end. For the grille, go to Southern KY Classics. That is who we use for ALL our truck builds.

Not quite sure where we bought the mounts, I just seen them online, and ordered them. They are universal weld on mounts. They bolt right up to the block, then get welded to the frame.
