which Lokar shifter are you using and which length handle are you using? I like the floor mount/cable units so not to get any driveline/body flex, but those tranny mount shifters look clean.
Also, are you using buckets or bench seat? I'm going bench for the comfort/retro look and wondering which length would be good.

I threw my bench seat in for kicks even though I have to take it out to fix the trans tunnel soon (See Video Below)

Alrighty, I have a bunch of little things to post so I'll start off with how I pre-lubed my engine.
There is so much discussion on these threads about whether to pre-lube your engine or not, but I had to play it safe and go for it. Although my engine was a crate motor that may still have assembly lube in it, I wasn't about to take any chances after putting all this work into it. There are a few, expensive pre-lubing systems out there, which isn't worth it to me, so here's what I did:
I was being cheap, so I ordered a 1 gallon tank instead of a 2 gallon, which I would recommend. Pour some oil in the tank, pressurize it to 60-70 psig, make sure your adapter at the other end is screwed into the block right by the oil filter (use a rubber o-ring on the adapter to seal it to the block), open the valve at the base of the tank and let 'er rip! It's a little slow going, but it works great, and it's somewhat cheap. Also, it's 100 times better than those plastic pumps. Here's a few more pics:
After I was done with it, I gave it to my brother. He's using it for his project: a 2003 4.6 liter modular cobra motor in a 66 mustang fastback (I tried to get him to put an LS7 in it).

Selling your 327/700R4 is a first step to a healthy LS addiction! You'll have a lot of fun on your install. I'd like to see some pics when you get it going. Have a good one Ryno63ss!

Unfortunately, one thing leads to another. I thought I was only going to take care of the transmission tunnel, then I got carried away and decided to redo all the thermal/acoustic/vibration barrier and put new carpet in... everywhere.

The harness-firewall seal is a pipe grommet that fit perfectly. I had a large hole in the firewall from when I originally bought the car so I just took the cover off and used that (otherwise it it would be a little more inconspicuous).
I have another pipe grommet laying around, so if anyone wants it, reply to this thread saying you want it, pm me your address and I'll send it out to you (1-3/16" inner hole diameter and 2-3/8" outer diameter for hole size.

Hey man, nice build. My build is pretty similar, I have a 62 Nova that with a L92/6l80. I got a few ideas from reading your build. Actually I've trying to decide how to get the harness through the firewall and that grommet looks pretty clean. If you still have it laying around, I'll take it off your hands. Just let me know how much. If not, where can I get one?

Hey rascalking, I haven't been on here in a while, but I just sent you a PM.
Actually, the larger hole worked out well. I was able to get the ecm connectors through the firewall, no sweat. Glad you can use some of the info here. Good luck with your nova. I'd love to see some pics on here if you have 'em.

Pipe Grommets
For most of the wiring, I used the existing hole next to the brake booster (closer to the drivers side fender). To pass the wiring harness through the firewall, there was a large hole someone cut in the firewall before I owned the car shown in the pic above (center part of the firewall, slightly closer to the passenger side). I would have drilled the hole lower on the firewall (closer to the intake) if my pre-existing hole wasn't there.
I would use a metal holesaw slightly larger than the ECM plugs. I think the opening in my firewall was about 2-1/4" and it worked perfectly.
