Default 1998 ls1

Guys i am about to start an LS1 Swap in my 1972 Nova i just got an LS1 from a 1998 Fire bird all the stuff i am finding on ebay for the Swap is for 1999 and up LS1 like the ECM and Wiring Harness what is different from the 1998 to the 1999 LS1?

It will work. The early LS1's had a less sophisicated PCM but all the LS1 stuff is interchageable anyway...98 here....

THANKS for the info i have been looking around to the Web sight and have found most of the info i needed. All so here is a pic of the car i am gone to put the LS1 in.

Guys can i use a Wiring Harness & PCM from a 99 up on my 98 LS1 some one on here said some thing about doing this on his 98 T/A ?

Yes you can use a 99 up pcm and wiring harness on a 98 motor. Everything plugs up the same. Only difference is if you get 01-02 pcm and harness. I'm pretty sure they wont have the EGR plug which is no big deal if you have that with your motor. Just take it off. Other than that all the plugs are the same. Good luck with the build. Nice lookin car also.

Also, I'm running a 98 pcm/harness on a 99 motor if that helps you any. Everything plugged up fine.
