The dash looks like it was made for the car except for the pillars, I have not yet fabricated those to fit in the dash. The dash is actually a little to wide in the car. It is the pillar area you are seeing in that picture that needs filled. Yes it is really secure, I had to make brackets and braces to hold the dash in the correct position. There are absolutely zero rattles, you would think your riding in a cadillac! No issues what so ever with the swap.
Not a big deal as you could fill this in as to not make it as visable but just curious.
Overall awesome job BTW...

Ok, thanks.. So when you say the dash was wider...do you think you had enough material to cover that area but in hind sight cut it to fit the initial width towards you to slide it in rather than leaving enough material at the corners ?( as the corners extend outward towards the glass)

I dont think im following you....the dash could not go any farther toward the windshield because of the vents and such, I didnt have to cut any width from the dash, it just sat to far against the passenger door compared to the driver door. The bare spot you are seeing is the factory cut for the f body camaro....that is where the pillar sat.

Good looking monte, I went with the 6.0 swap, loved it I won't lie. I wish I had went with the t56 now though. Yours has an extensive amount of work over mine, very clean. For black you may want to talk to GSI interiors, I had him recover some 94/95 transam seats that I put in the monte, and then match the back seat to them. Enjoy the ride as much as possible

That dash swap is sick. Nice job on the whole car, I'd lower it. airride??
I don't think gm was taking the name "luxury sport" as seriously as you did, Nice car!!

It may not be as tough as you think.Astro van spindles will easily fit with a change in ball joints and aftermarket upper A arms, they have a big 12" rotor and the ABS sensor/ring parts.Something to think about, that's a pretty cool ride that you put together, for now, just drive and enjoy!

You could always just keep the factory brakes and switch over to S10 spindles. The pads and rotors are the same sizes, the only difference between the Monte and S10 rotors being the reluctor wheel on the S10. The brake hose is probably the same as well. Personally I wouldn't even bother with the ABS. Maybe if it's a dedicated pro-touring car but for a driver/racer not even worth the effort.

I think the blazer spindle will swap into the g-body with no modifications, will that use the blazer abs wheel sensor also and use the camaro abs and brake booster unit?

The Blazer Spindles bolt right on..that is what I have.
As far as the Rears go here's an idea..
Mine is a custom 9" Housing that bolts on LT1 F-body Backing Plates..therefore I have LT1 Rear Disc Brakes. If you want to upgrade to a 9" get one made to take the LS1 Backing Plates..then find a 4-channel setup that has the Sensors in the Backing Plates..get your Moser Axles and press the Reluctor Rings on them when you install them.

Time is the main issue.....and I just dont want the abs on there. I wish it was disabled on everything else i drive. I am in the process of adding headers right now. I also have some black trans am cloth seats I am wanting to install if I can find the correct size rear seat out of something. Those are about the only near future mods. I will be heading to LS Fest with it this week!
