Tore the engine apart some more since it was so nice out for a change.

Looks like crap but its just flaky carbon or something, whatever it is it vacuums right up.

Got a fbody waterpump and 1 1/2" spacers

Found a crack in the valvecover! The cover was orginally crooked with 3 out of the 4 bolts bent so I was surprised that it wasnt cracked but not surprised anymore. Haha.

^ the piece sticking up is the torn gasket

I just picked up a radiator from Jegs for my LS1/S10 swap and it's top notch. I got the Jegs brand universal fit 28x16.5 and it's a beast. Dual 1" rows and tig welded tanks with a billet filler neck. I was very impressed for $160. I trimmed the intrepid fans to fit it today and it was a piece of cake.

How's that one fit into the cradle? Any pics of that? Any trimming?

No pics yet...I've still got to notch my frame to fit the AC so I can drop the motor all the way in. It's 16.5" tall at the top of the filler neck so I don't see why it won't fit inside the front support with a notch around the neck like most do anyway. The one Bcool sells for the V8 swaps in the s10s is 17" tall just for reference.

Is the outlet and inlet of that radiator both on the same side? Im going to go with the one that Current performance makes since it is a direct swap in with no cutting but you definately pay a hefty price for it.

What is the advantage of the LS3 intake valve over the LY6/L92 valve?

Also the Ls3 valve weighs upper 80s grams and the L92 weighs around 110 grams. Lighter valvetrain = happy valvetrain.

TSP VVT-2 on left stock on right

Inside workings of the phaser. The gear is part of the outer shell and the cam is attached to the inner part with tabs that when rotated bottom out on the walls. You can see the limiter block I installed in the lower chamber to the left of the pivot bolt of the outer cover.

Arp rod bolts on some of the rods.

Vette pick-up tube fit the truck windage tray just fine.
