Default Gen III vs Gen IV Advice Needed

I have a 2004 4.8L dbc and a 2009 5.3L dbw motor, both from Silverado pickups. Both motors are complete and have their wiring harnesses, and ECU, but no MAF. The TB in the 4.8 looks corroded, and has oily deposits behind the blade. The 4.8 looks brand new, but looks more complicated to hook up. The truck intakes and the alternators are too high, so I will have to do some changes here. I would like to use one of these motors in a 1973 Triumph with a 3.73 diff, and a LT-1 T-56 6 speed that I already have. Any suggestions on which would be easier to use in this conversion? To save $$$, I would like to reuse as much as the truck stuff that I already have.

Do you mean the 5.3 looks brand new ???? 2009 is pretty fresh. Do you know
mileage on either ???? Your little Triumph will rip with either engine, I'd go
for the 5.3..325 cubes of LS nasty and a six speed in a tiny car = 2 much fun
