I heard putting a turbo LS motor in a 69 GTO is played out... you should do something different (Sig check)

OP... I REALLY like your plan... I used to have a GN and after I finished my GTO I thought how cool it would be to build a turbo ls for a GN...
I'm subscribing so I can track your progress.

Normally i'd say a g/n with a motor swap is just a fast regal but I guess if it has turbo then its ok. Nice build....

My motor mounts are as follows:

Car shop inc ls adaptor plates

Energy suspension poly eng mount zinc part # 3.1114r

Moroso solid frame mounts for SBC

Champ sheetmetal oil pan with baffles.

I had to grind off a little ear on the moroso frame mounts, and I might put in a 1/2 inch plate to raise the motor a little.

The motor sits low to the crossmember, but there is plenty of room with this oil pan set up.

Fbody accessories all clear fine. I am not running a/c.

Haven't had a whole lot of progress as of late.

Hoping to get the downpipes in and intercooler pipes done.

Will get some pics to document progress.

Removed inner fenders, going to reposition turbo's and run new downpipes.

Front mount intercooler is mounted.

Using a third gen camaro radiator with ls1 fans. Radiator was only $80 brand new.

The hood clears barely. It is a high quality fiberglass reproduction with no under hood bracing. A stock hood would be pretty close. I will try to get a measurement.

To the op, first of all great work. I just picked up an 87 monte Carlo that I plan to do a tt lsx setup on, I wanted to know if you every test fitted the truck manifolds in the down and forward position. I don't plan on running ac or ps, thanks and keep up the work

I tried down and forward to fit but I think it was hitting steering box assembly. U might have better luck with a different manifold then a truck Manifold for that.

I had the pipes welded locally, a single turbo setup in a gbody is probably going to be easier then the twins in the long run.

Making progress slowly....
