Default LS+Pentastar crossbreed

Hi, I am trying to use LS ECU and harness to power up a 440 RB Big Block Dodge.
Now before I get kicked out of this forum for this apparent aberration, the reasoning here is that I have used a couple other OS's and they've got nothing on the GM stuff for the price.
After doing several engine swaps I am convinced that unless I go with an ultraexpensive ECU like BigStuff3 of the likes, the GM cannot be beat.
That said this is the first time I try something like this, but I'd like to hear from any other who may have tried it, or at least planned it.
I have never seen any, the most adventurous has been converting the Vortec L31 into an LS style ECU with a 24 tooth reluctor wheel behind the timing chain cover, but that is easy since the wheel is already made.

The biggest hurdle I see is finding a universal 24 tooth "trigger wheel", I do not know who may sell it, but worst case scenaro this can be made as I have access to autocad and CNC water jet cutting, placing the pick up sensor should be just a matter of making brackets.
Then the cam sensor is even easier since it is a 1X sensor.
Or should I use a distributor based combo with a "411" ECU and an L31 OS?
I have not yet started this stuff, as I made up my mind just a couple days ago when we ordered the Edelbrock Pro Flo XT manifold.
So again, any comments, wild ideas are very welcome.

Can't see why it couldn't work... the only guess I have is that you'd have to use all GM sensors and adapt them to the MOPAR engine.
