Default LY6 cam swap. Dont need to pull heads??

Fixing to do my Ls swap in my vette. I am deleting the VVT. I was told I needed to pull the heads and and pull the lifter trays to remove something. Cant remember what. Is this true. I been doing alot of reading here, and never heard of that. As far as I know, if you do a VVT delete, its just cam, cam gear, and timing cover.

Am I missing something here?? And How do i know if it has DOD??

09 chevy 2500 PK LY6.

LY6 does not have dod, so you do not need to pull heads for the cam swap. The reason heads need to be pulled on dod engines is to swap the lifters.
