5.3/nv3550 swap
Having trouble finding some info, I know it can be done cheaper then going thru Novak or Advanced Adaptor.
We are putting a 5.3 in a 2003 jeep. Will be using the original nv3550 from the jeep. I found lots of great info on here to do the motor swap with a nv3500 but nothing for the nv3550. My question is, what all do I need to change? Looking for years and /or part numbers of what I need. Especially which bellhousing.
This is what I found for the nv3500:
flywheel from an "06 4.8 or 6.0 (#sach nfw 1050)
pilot bearing (gm#12557583)
"old school" chevy 12" clutch cover (gm#460486)
3/8" shoulder bolts for cover
clutch???
bellhousing??
Now, will those parts work for the nv3550 as well? If not, does anyone have a list of part #'s I need?
I'm sure there's someone in this forum who has done this swap and not gone straight to the high dollar aftermarket parts. Been searching everywhere.
Thanks!
