Could anyone please answer some other parts of my questions. Like engine mounting and weight savings?

Buy the car and find out.
Not many will reply, becuz they dont know. Its not a common swap.
Ive done many ls swaps, and on some vehicles no ls parts swap exist. So i have to make my own mounts and such. But u gotta have everything in front of you for unknown swaps.
i hope your a decent fabricator and have a good arsenal of fabrication tools.

a swap of this calibet takes a lot of fabrication, effort and research.
But on the plus side the motor from the viper may be worth alot of $.
Since i doubt viper rollers are common

Default Wow!

You could almost LOSE that little LS engine in there. Think of the weight reduction AND how much the vehicle's CG will be improved from moving the motor mass that far back. And yes tons of room for a nice turbo setup. VEERRRYYYY INTERESTING!

i think the car has been sitting in that shop for a few months now, the owner seems to be busy with other stuff for now ( guess its time for me to stirr up things )

as for the exhaust, the car used to have a pair of twins up front and i'm assuming thats how they will be after the conversion which means the exhaust will still be run up front .

here is a pic of the car in its prime

That would be a sweet swap! Not cheap (cost of car would be the main expense). I think the wiring wouldn't be too hard, as all the viper gauges are auto meter, so *I think* it would just be hooking in to the appropriate harness wire, and your gauges would work.

Oh, and everyone with a Viper would hate you You would not be invited to Viper meets....

Follow me on my ride here.

Two LS1s bolted nuts to butts like on a tractor puller, then twin turbo each. then it would be a 16/4 like the Veyron!!!

There was a Lamborghini Countach pro mod running a blown, fore-mounted B1 Hemi back in the 90s. Blasphemy kind of in the same vein. Hot rodding has been all about blasphemy since the small block Chevy came out in 1955 and everyone realized their flatheads sucked. Go to a street rod meet, Chevy design will account for maybe 20 percent of the bodies, but 90 percent of the engines. Is there a real difference in logic? You'd be taking out a 488 inch engine that is crazy expensive to modify, weighs a ton, and makes 500 hp. Yippitty skippitty. LS engines and hair dryers are the central focus of the hobby right now, so fix Dodge's mistake and make that thing scream. 1000 hp could be achieved in your sleep and the weight bias would be waaay better. Selling the V10 could probably fund the rest of the project, as an added bonus. Lots of people would will wonder why you'd wreck a perfectly good Viper, and Mopar guys will threaten to kill your mother in her sleep. Snobs and pu$$ies will whine. But you'll turn way more heads than pretty much any other car you could plunk an LS in. Do it! Now to look for cheap Vipers on egay...
