Default 77-81 engine swap (81 SE 4.9t)

it's in mint condition, original everything, but my father wants it redone to blow the back tires off.

not many threads on search helping out. are there any shops that specialize in this? anywhere?
it's a 81 SE 4.9t that needs to be beefed up. not sure which way to go? look for a 400-455 and have it rebuilt and dropped in or just do the ls swap? if i do the swap, is there anyone that can help through the endless amount of questions on where to find stuff at?

any help or point in the right direction will help. car is in WV but i have no problem with a shop in NC working on car, closer to charlotte area the better.

any help or tips is appreciated.

I vote for LS swap! Once you do you will never go back!

i actually own a 99 t/a anyway. the problem with doing an ls swap is making sure everything will convert over. that is really one of the reasons for this thread. how many issues will i run into or have they been solved yet. for example, motor mounts, wiring kits, cross members, etc.
any easy answers or a shop that can help?
so far best site i have found is butler performance, but haven't spoken directly with them yet.
