Holley Oil pan

Holley Oil pan
Holley has made an oil pan that fits my Porsche 928 LS1 but the machine work done on sealing surface is poor.
If you run your finger around one of the corners you can feel a bump.
Holley emailed me and assured me that it hasnt had anyone complain about leaks.
At $400, leak or not this pan should have been as good or better than the seal surface of a GM pan.
I found the same bump on the Holley oil pan presented at the last SEMA show so Im thinking its on all their oil pans.
Before I installed the pan I sanded down the bump on the pan to assure me that there will be no leaks and that it will support the block square.

Did yours leak?
Did you take images or measurements, or just the ones your posted of the one at the vendor show?
Did Robin decline a return? Ref:

AutoPartsway.com has it for $319.51 shipped, scroll to the bottom of that page to see it.

LOOKS LIKE THE GASKET WILL KEEP THE OIL PAN FROM LEAKING.
HOLLEY OIL PAN CAME WITH A BUMP ON THE OIL PAN. COMPARING IT TO A STOCK OIL PAN FOR HALF THE PRICE I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED HOLLEY PERFECTION.
FACTORY OIL PAN PROVIDES structural rigidity FOR THE BLOCK.

Run a flat file along it to remove the step the high spot and then use a medium honing stone and WD40 to make sure its flat. The stones are made by Norton and measure 2x6" and 2x8". They are used to insure a flat surface. I use them on every machined surface on the engine. It does look like poor milling on the pan but nothing you couldn't take care of quickly.
