What made you go with the brp f-body? How much was it and why not a C5 kit?

I ask because I have an extra set of f-body calipers and was debating adapting them to my Lemans.

I picked up my kit on eBay for the Front and just picked up the spacer from BRP as I didn't see anything on eBay for that spacer.

Still planning on working on the Rear and trying to figure out which way to go. I have bolted everything together for the front. Other than getting the drum brake hub turned down, no issues.

My rear disc brakes came from a 89 Iroc with 9 bolt rear. The bolt pattern is different from the 9 bolt axle flange and the 12 bolt axle flange. I placed the mounting bracket up to the flange and measured the bolts and drilled new holes in the bracket. Then I needed 3/8" spacers between the bracket and the caliper carrier. I even used the rotors from the Iroc. I used 2000 s-10 front hoses to get the lenth I needed and shortened and reflared the lines. I also removed the residual pressure valve. All is well 4 years later. Cost me a total of $50 for the 2 hoses and new pads.

Keep up the good work. I will be following this thread closely since I have a similar build going on myself. Just continue to take your time.

Sounds like it's going to be a fun car once it's all said and done.

What is your budget if you don't mind me asking? And you wouldn't happen to have a parts list would you?

Trying to see what's necessary for a 5.3 turbo swap for my 72.

i have about 2k give or take in it right now. all the major stuff is bought and paid for. it would have been less if i hadn't rebuilt the tranny.
