Well im thinking about buying a complete ls2 off my friend. he has everything for it -- wirings, etc,etc... just the motor. I wanted to take my 383 lt1 out of my 95 z28... What's everything I need to make this work. Will the ls2 bolt up to my 95 z28 t56 transmission.. Not sure if I can use all that stuff

Transmission will not bolt up. But they do make bell housings that allow for the conversion.

The Ls2 is not a direct replacement, meaning the harness is not just going to plug in and everything work. It would take some extensive knowledge and electrical skill to make it all work correctly.

Buy an LS1 k-member and instrument cluster and wiring harness.
