Default Silverado hydroboost swap ?s

Hey all, I picked up a hydroboost unit from an 04 Silverado 2500HD that came with the master cylinder. The only prob I think I'll run into is hood clearance with the Cutlass using that gigantic reservoir. I'm not sure what interchangeability is like but I'd like to swap the reservoir out with a lower profile one. Does anyone know of another that could be used with the Silverado master? Thanks!

Your stock Cutlass master will bolt to it. You may have to make a spacer to go inside where the original push rod went depending on how deep the hole in the master cylinder is. I have pics of the one I made in my build in my sig.

It will but I actually have the whole unit in place with new brake lines looking all nice and it would be a total drag having to swap out the master and redo them. Plus I just like the look of the new one and as a bonus it doesnt weigh a metric ton like the old master lol

I put a master from a astro van on my rig and it came with two small reservoirs. I replaced them with a larger single one from an S10. I'm not sure what a silverado master looks like but I'll bet either the astro or S10 will swap in.

I think I'm good! I threw the hood on real quick and it looks like the reservoir tucks up into a pocket in the bracing on the underside of the hood. Its a huge bitch but will work:

I used an astrovan, looks about the same, except for the huge reservoir. I changed out the reservoir, i also installed upside down so lines would be on the bottom.
tried to post pics but it wouldn't upload!

The mount I'm using had the hydroboost unit upside down but after some grinding its right side up. Its nice having the option, I may flip it at some point but want to see how it shapes up like this.

What was needed to convert the Astro system? Figure out the picture problem, I'd like to see what you have done to yours.
