lm7 to 5 speed

lm7 to 5 speed
What do i need to put a t-5 behind an lm7. i am swapping an lm7 into a drift car and dont need the t-56 plus the 5 speed is much cheaper. can it be done and if so what do i need?

What T5 are you going to be working with, most OEM T-5 are only rated between 250-295 ft/lb of torque.. I have blown two of them up with my mild built 350.. so.. IMO.. not a good choice if your going to be putting any fair almount of power through it.
I hope you are talking about a aftermarket 5 speed. TKO's or something. Either way, it has been done.. there were a few threads on this subject. try a search.

I did a TKO with a Sachs 1050 flywheel, some truck bellhousing, LS7 pilot, and an SBC clutch kit. I used a McLeod 1364 hydraulic throwout, but I recommend an external linkage if you can use one.
