Ditto,i ended up doing the same as lilhemi.it was the easiest solution I found.just have to make sure the throw and distance out is the same and also the gm sensor mounts on the oppisite side as the ford unit.it was quite easy to set up

Does it matter which is the 5v in wire and which is the signal wire back to the cluster?

no. i switched the wires around on the voltmeter and it was the same.

I know this is an old thread but in my never ending research I came across this little gadget. Would this work in my 97 mustang with an f body cluster. I drive the car 60 miles a day and would love to have a working fuel gauge.
