i need to know everything about this. you seem to know your sh*t about turbos and i need to know if i should go 2 smaller turbos for my lq4 or one large turbo. ive been told to get a gt45 at the smallest for a single. what would you suggest. money doenst come easy so thats why id like to stick to 2 smaller turbos than 1 large one. seems to be cheaper. at the moment the bird is engineless. ol school lt1 is gone and lq4 is down to bare block for a .010-.020 bore due to a self distructing piston.... haha

Thanks man, I have learned alot about FI/Turbo's in the last few years but have a ton more to learn lol.

Bang for the buck is by far a single setup. With a twin setup not only does it take 2 turbos, but twice the v-bands, flanges, piping, wastegates, more expensive intercooler, silicone couplers, stainless clamps and list goes on. Only reason I am doing a twin setup is for the "wow" factor on this old truck. I however do expect it to make some great power on e85, hopefully atleast as much or more than my previous builds.

If I was you I would go with either a budget On3 76mm or step it up to a magnum 80 ball bearing. <--- That is the next turbo I use on a new build.

Nope not this go around. Running e85 and meth. If iat's get to high, I will eventually intercool it.

I'm hoping my theory works well. Less piping and intercooler = quicker spool? I will find out haha

I thought eBay turbos failed really fast?

If not, they seem awesome for being on a budget!

Looks like they should be easy to reach to do a quick replacement if they let go! Keep up the good work!

Hopefully not, had pretty good luck with the On3 turbo's and gt45's. Gt35's are pretty much the same just smaller frame.

Small update. Had a packed weekend with birthday's, cars and coffee in plano and of all things a couples baby shower (yeah i know).

However I did get a chance to plumb in the blow-off valve and got both wastegates plmbed in. Plan on finishing up the harness tonight along with a few other things.

Couple of recent fab work..

Yes it is. 75/25 argon, .030 solid.

Thanks a bunch man, I can't wait to get this thing going. All these "on the side" jobs are stacking up so it's slowing me down on completion. But its ok, I will get it done haha.

Yup, finished my wiring harness and going to start on pulling the bed off to install fuel pump and notch kit for the rear frame. Been a slower progress than I expected due to a bunch of side jobs lol.
