I am in a similar situation and plan to relocate the battery to the trunk to make room for the filter.

Yes,

1) MAF is right above Radiator hose, heating up the MAF and CAI Tubing. But this is common on alot of other CAI

2) MAF should have a longer, straighter run for the Air Flow for the MAF to get a better reading. Most likely the MAF is getting a lot of turblance.

3) Intake air is most likely getting hot air from the Radiator.

Does it run that way? Then it must be fine. A few horse left on the table would be easy for me to live with. This is not the way "THEY" say to do it. 10 inches away from TB and ducting is to be streight at least 3X Dia before and 2XD after so 4 inch pipe you should have 12 inches/MAF/8inches, no way I can get a 20 in run with out a bend I will be lucky it I can 6 inches on each side, may have to add some type of honeycomb to streighten the air???

I to am working on cai tube setup for my swap. I have looked at Spectra stuff but its a bit costly. I think Im going to use some of pieces from Upgr8 they have 4ply silicone 90s and couplers reducers 3.5 and 4" http://www.upgr8.com/store/products....erdiameter=410 The only thing I think Im going to get from Spectra is their HPR cone filter 3.7" tall .
