I just purchased a nice 71 Camaro. I'm going to pull the lq4 out of my 52 truck project and put it in the Camaro. Will the truck intake clear the stock hood? I would like to keep the intake since I already have the engine running.

Wouldn't in my 78 trans am, neither would the alternator. Not sure if that helps or not but similar body styles.

Yes, this helps, thanks. It took some research but I found out it would not clear with a 3" cowl hood.

I used dirty dingo mounts and have a 2 1/2 cowl and truck intake would clear I have the motor moved back pretty far tho I went with a ls6 intake but test fitted the truck and with some modifing to a spacer to tilt the tb downward it would have worked

I got a 70 Corvette with a 73-up cowl hood, and it fits. Had to shave some of the mounts for the beauty cover and the truck altornater mount is way to hi. Camaro has at least another inch of hood clearance over the Corvette.
