has anybody weighed a 97 up single cab s10 with alum block ls1 and 4l60 trans? Just a basic reg. Cab no ac with weld wheels just looking for an idea so i can get the right convertor fpr a customer! Any help?

my 00 rcsb xtreme with a lq4 on welds weighed in at 3060 on a cat scale. no ac no heat and about a half tank of gas.

My 01 s10 ls1/t56 no a/c with 17x9 steel wheels weighed 3280 with me. If you shooting for sub 3k on a 97 i think you gonna have to pull some stuff out of it. They have a thread on s10forums.com under the lsx section that talks about this more.

Yea the second gens are a little heavier. My 1991 with the LS1/4L60E was 2850 on Drag Radials/Skinnies..with Caltrac Bars.
