1st test ls1 69camaro, no tach, bucks hard trying to shift.
After 2 years and every problem that could be had I got to test my 69 ls1 Camaro today.
It runs and sounds mean, did not overheat or leak fluids so that's great.
I sent the pcm to bill at bp auto 2 times and was suppose to do the tach mod, still the new factory tach still does not work even with the pull up resistor. could it have something o do with the only truble code 654 engine rmp output circuit?
The other problem is shifting, when it try to drive from a start in anything above idle it bucks like a bronco and wants to die before it finaly shifts.
it shifts ok manuly but does break up and backfire if I get on the throttle hard.
I hope I can get it painted and bring it back to slowhawk to re tune it and hopefully get all the problems fixed.
I am now broke and have a month to complete the car.
