Truck injectors on an LS1 intake swap? Adapters?
I will be running an LS1 intake on my 5.3 truck engine (for aesthetics)
I want to reuse my truck injectors (to save money) but I don't know what spacers I really need.
These are all I can find.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fs...-kit/overview/
But the LS3/7 injectors are shorter than the truck ones

I know lots of guys out there are making this same swap but I still can't find a correct answer?
I am not against ls1 injectors but by the time I get the injectors and adapters for the plugs I am out a lot more money.
Anyone?
Cheers
Bret

For my 5.3, I bought the Holley fuel rails, which come with 2 different sets of small brackets. Neither of them fit perfectly, but I was able to use nuts as spacers on each of the 4 bolt locations in the LS1 intake and it worked perfectly. I don't remember the nut size, and I was using the Flex Fuel injectors...which apparently are a slightly different length. There are many many combinations and variations...even within the same engine designation though the years. Finding an exact fit can be difficult.
You'll need to replace your truck fuel rails at the very least (and also modify your fuel system to the Corvette filter/regulator setup since the truck rails have the regulator at the motor). If I were you I would skip tracking down the right spacers and find someone selling LS1 fuel rails and injectors. Yes, a little more money, but far less headaches.

I have LS1 fuel rails. all the setup to make it all work. The only piece I am missing is making these injectors fit.
It looks like I will need a 3/4" spacer but the spacers I find are either 1/2" or not marked at all.

I used long injectors not sure what they were from. They are siemen deka 80 lbers, guy I got them from said they worked perfectly on his 06 truck and didnt mention any spacers needed. When I put them into my truck rails and on the truck intake I had to make 3/4 long spacers to tension them down.
