Default tach and fuel level question

I have a 97 camaro with a carbed ls2..I have a 98-02 fuel sending unit. Im not using the pump cause I have a external. What do I do to make a 98-02 sending unit read in a 97 car. Also im running a 6010 msd box. Is there a way to get my factory tach to work with this box.

I think that GM changed the OHM settings from 1997 to 1998. The 98 and newer LS fuel buckets use the 240-33 settings. It may be easy if you could grab a gauge cluster out of a 98 and newer fbody. I'm not too familiar with 4th gen dashes....if they changed at all from 97-98.

Sorry I have no experience with the MSD boxes.....seems like there would be something on the MSD website. Good luck!

Try a search here.... I googled and came up with quite a few hits from people here on ls1tech....

The 98 cluster should work as long as it plugs in...
