Can a DBW Truck engine harness modded to plug into 4th gen LS1 Camaro body?? I know its an odd question but I recently bought a 1998 Trans Am Dash, console, and complete car harness to go into my 1980 Firebird. The engine, trans, and engine harness was already gone.
Can a 2003 Drive By Wire 6.0L engine harness be repinned to plug into the fuse box and all or is it too much trouble? I'm hoping to do the whole harness swap to run head/tail lights and all. Inside and out except for things like the ABS, SRS... things like that.

Yes you can tie the harnesses together but....the later year ECM will not communicate with the BCM. Your dash cluster and stuff would not work. The ECM and BCM need to match. If you don't care about that, then good luck and happy wiring!
