1952 Chevy Coupe w/ 5.3 LS

And yes, I used a crown Vic driveshaft. It's the 3" aluminum version from the interceptor police package. Mine measured 56 1/2" from center to center of u-joint holes. I had to have it shortened 2" to work with the 4l60e and 10 bolt rear end. If you go this route make sure you have a place that will work with aluminum, not all do (learned the hard way). But all said I spent less than $200 including the conversion u-joints!
Hope this helps!
Thanks!

I also used the 4th gen accelerator pedal and the hole and bolt for the original. I did have to modify the pedal a bit since it sits at an angle in the f-body. Purchased an accelerator cable and snaked it around the top of the intake, no issues.

Good to hear!
I finally got my transmission issue resolved - bad TSS sensor. Once that was fixed, I drove her around town a couple times and even made a grocery run! The car is a blast to drive and I love the looks it gets.
I am currently working on the interior. I need to weld in floor pans, seal all interior metal with Eastwood Rust Encapsilator, install sound deadener and carpet. Then I'll get the seats upholstered and the front door panels done too.
Not much else after all that!

Motivating!
Great build thread man, inspired me to do the same to my '52 BelAir coupe. I just picked up a 5.3 with wiring harness and ECU.
My questions:
Did you use any other default wiring harness, such as Painless etc, to wire the remainder of the car?
Are you still using the factory ignition switch?
I've located a donor 2wd Silverado with 4L60e, and figured I can use the transmission, driveshaft, steering column, pedals and maybe more?
Thanks for keeping this going too, can't wait to get started on mine.

I replaced all of the old wiring using a Rebel Rodz 14 circuit harness. I'm not running many power options, so 14 was plenty for me.
I used a universal ignition switch and headlight switch because I wasn't sure the factory 6v switches would hold up under the new 12v system.
As far as the parts from the donor truck, you should be able to use several things (with modification, of course). The driveshaft will most likely need to be shortened and the steering column will be a tight fit, but anything is possible with enough time and money!!
Good luck & keep us updated on your project!

So much has happened since my last post. I got my door panels and carpet in, replaced all the glass and seals, installed A/C system & I got it painted! I just took it to a local car show yesterday and it made the 100 mile round trip with no issues!
Picture heavy update:
Bonus - This 700hp+ 6.7L turbo LS swapped beast of a truck was across from me at the local event

Hey congratulations! The car looks great!
Is that a matte finish paint intended not to water spot? I know they make finishes intended to be easy to care for (like a conventional gloss paint). What product was it painted with?
