Update
The new CTSV AC compressor and bracket arrived, so switched gears for a little to the subframe notch. The original ZL1 AC compressor lines exited rear and at the 9:00 position and would not clear the BRP motor mounts and would require sectioning into the frame rail dangerously close to the upper control arm mount. Rough cut for fitting, and finish marking to ensure acceptable clearance for lines. ....Definitely no chance of changing a faulty compressor without disrupting the engine from its home. LOL

Brake, clutch, accelerator pedals...oh my..
After much thought, mock up, thought, and frustration we decided to scrap the first gen pedal assemblies, 4th gen clutch master, and adapter brackets. We are going to make the necessary mods to retrofit the 5th gen components in. one of the main drivers was the necessity to retain the brake and clutch pedal position sensors. We tried a few solutions that would have worked electronically, but left a lot to be desired mechanically. Also from a standpoint of serviceability, being able to purchase direct replacement parts, requiring no modifications is a reasonable approach. The 5th gen components had to shed a lot of weight to fit in there, and will require some re-engineering of the inboard carriers to add back integrity and facilitate mounting back to the 5th gen dash structure. The mock up is complete for where the final resting place will be. Brake booster is about 4" lower and about 1/2" outboard of its original location. A 1" deep pocket will be required in the lower cowl to accommodate the clutch pedal carrier. That mod will wait until i have the body back on the rotisserie so we don't have to weld upside down close quarters. From here we'll make a template for the whole firewall section for replacement. The '13 steering shaft will also be shortened and used, and will retain the late model firewall grommet.

Mocking more goodies. Well...we thought we might be able to get by without modifying the inside lower cowl, but the brake pedal carrier and booster location is just too low and interferes with the wheel house and the steering shaft...so lower cowl mods are in order to raise those components, therefore, were are going for the 5th gen wiper motor and evaporator/heater box too. Oh, looks like a factory hood is off the table. LOL
