Default 1967-1972 C10 AC adapting

Has anyone adapted an entire AC system from a newer truck into a 1967-1972 C10 chevy?
I'm working on a 1968, going to be doing an LS swap. I have a 2001 tahoe and removing motor and transmission with wiring to install in my C10 and was wondering if it is possible to adapt the entire AC system including the box inside the cab from the tahoe into the C10. This is an AC cab but I removed everything for body work and paint.

I haven't tried it but my first thought would be I don't think the parts for inside the cab would ever fit. Today's full size trucks are much bigger than the 67-72 trucks were.

The inside box is bigger. I was just wondering if anyone tried it before. I guess I just have to decide if I buy Vintage AC system or keep original look.
Thanks

I tried it. Wont fit. What I did was took the evaporator out of the 2003 and put it in the 72 box. Was kinda hard because the box needed to be lengthened. There are pics in the blue truck build in my sig. The easier option is to get an evaporator that fits the box better. My green truck has an 87 evaporator and it works great. Also pics in my build thread of my rusty truck in my sig. Hope this helps.
