Has any of you all done this before? The reason I go with this route is because I have the transmission and would like to save some cabbage by not getting the t56. My target goal is arnd 500 whp and nothing more.

Good luck with your swap. Sounds like a fun project.
Brand new ones cost about 1800 . A lot cheaper than the t56.

From what I see in the link you would need to buy the adapter, an LS bellhousing, pressure plate, slave cylinder and flywheel and a Z clutch. Then you have to cut the front off of your 6 speed to bolt them up. Your already looking at over $1K in materials. Why not try and sell your Z trans and pickup a T56. You can get a used one for $1500-$2000.
As far as the adapter and setup, I have 0 experience so I can not chime in. I can say that I know a local guy with a 300zx and he used that company for his 2JZ-CD009 setup and pushing north of 800rwhp without an issue. Stock trans, twin disc clutch etc.
And just to comment on the Supra 6-speed, it is one of the best OEM transmissions available and thats why they come with a hefty price tag. The Getrag that Toyota made for the Supra is a stout setup especially given the time when it was produced.
