i am doing a 5.3 swap in my 55 , the guy had the harness made for 04 i am guessing , the motor is a 06 anyway the plug on the harness is the large 4 wire and the original alternator was the small 2 wire , so i bought a new alternator with the large plug , the alternator has a screw on the back that goes to battery , but i dont have a wire for it , do i need it now here is a pic

The stud on the back of the alt is the output. A #8 or larger wire goes from there to
the battery +. It needs to handle approx 100 amps so don't be cheap. Steve
