help with LQ9 swap in a C6 Z06
What's up guys, your probably wondering why I want to do a LQ9 8n a z06 here's the story.
I recently purchased a 2011 z06 off the auction and it.was a theft recovery, Ls7 is way overpriced so I'm looking for a good motor to build for Boost .. but for now I need info on the swap because I know nothing about these engines or cars.
Few questions
What ecu will I run?
what wiring harness will I run?
Do I need a special oil pan to clear the z06 crossmember?
will my bellhousting bolt right up to the lq9?
What clutch could I use
Do I need a special set of mounts ?
Any and all info on the swap would be greatly appreciated. THANKS GUYS

I think all LQ9s are pre-07 24x reluctors, your 11 had a 58x reluctor. You'll need a 24x reluctor ecu, like the 411. Alternatively, there are converters sold by lingenfelter.
Same issue with the harness and DBW. You could use get the whole LQ9 harness, ecu, tac, pedal.
There are actually quite a few more things to consider, like what intake, tb, injectors, etc you'll use.
On second thought....
You might try the 24 to 58 converter, an LS2 intake, (cathedral port, 4 bolt TB) keep all the existing C6 harness, ecu, pedal, tb injectors.
The wet sump C6 pan, pickup, dipstick will bolt to your LQ9.
Bellhousing will bolt up fine.
Use an LS1, 2, 3, 7, etc clutch, flywheel package.
The LQ9 will bolt to the vette motor mounts.

You might want to look into a LY6 that came in '07 and later trucks. It is a 6.0 iron block, but also has L92/LS3 heads on it with 9.6 compression ratio. Also it is a 58x reluctor, so you will not need any conversion box or harness to make it work with your current ECM. It should drop right in. You will likely have to change the cam out since the LY6 has VVT and buy an LS3 intake manifold. This is just another option to consider compared to the LQ9.
Everything garys 68 has said about the flywheel, clutch, bellhousing will also work for the LY6 engine.
