Quiet muffler options for 454
I know it's been talked about before, but there's constantly new mufflers hitting the market. I currently have a ls3 in my Lexus ls430 that's 17/8 primaries to dual 3" to a single 4" cutout, from the cutout back it's the stock exhaust... Cool thing is it's was crazy quiet closed. Problem is on the Dyno I showed a 70whp loss closed lmao. I wouldnt dare put my 454 through those kind of back pressures. So the goal is as quiet as possible. The stock Lexus muffler locations are pretty huge, and I have room for dual resonators. Any recommendations? I want it as close to a stock Lexus. Cali sucks for this kinda stuff, rolling smog stops, you name it. Thanks

I'm contemplating this. It's made by vibrant. It's low key, doesn't look like anything flashy. 4" inlet with dual 3" tips.

Run larger pipes up the stock mufflers. Run the factory mufflers but free up as much restriction as possible right up to the flange. This works because it gives the exhaust more time to cool and compress before entering the muffler.
Really though this has zero effect on emissions. The smog checks measure CO emissions, nothing to do with dB. Can you run CARB approved high flow cats?
