I've been doing a 5.3 swap into a 94 S10.
I'm ready to get an ECM set up to use.
I have an option of getting a 411 ECM, instead of the 896 I already have. Opinions?
Either way, I have to have vats and rear O2 sensors (emissions) deleted . Also need to set electric fans to come on. Do I need to have auto trans functions turned off?
Is there anything else I need to have done to have a running driving vehicle?


Does the ECM need to know what gear ratio? Haven't got a rear end yet.
Besides running the engine, what else does the ECM control?
I'm especially concerned about the speedo working.
Is there anything else I need to have done?
