Default thermostat housings

whats out there for thermostat housings that point out or down rather than right like the lq4
i am swapping a 6l into a 67 chevelle and the truck thermostat housing makes for a very ugily angle to connect the lower hose
anyone with pics of what may be available?
what are others doing for these swaps?
thanks

2010 Camaro L99 6.2 Auto trans waterpump and T-stat outlet / Dayco 71321 hose in a 67 Buick Skylark with the factory radiator. Not the best I'm sure but it works.

Dorman #902211, it's for a '98-'03 Ford Windstar 3.8, outlet is straight forward. Rock Auto for $9.60 including gasket.

I got one of the ones from jegs, mentioned above.
The LS style thermostat, 2004+ I believe, will fit with a little filing and grinding out of the inner radius of the thermostat seat on the housing. That way, you maintain the heater control valve function of the ls water pump.

I tried the Windstar housing, but couldn't get it to seal the way I'd like.

I cut and welded the stock 6.0 housing to point down in my 67. The 6.0 I had has a separate t-stat from the housing. I was able to use a piece of the stock truck hose as wellName: DSCF7242_zpsla0dctqv.jpg

Hey, don't knock the pvc pipe. Add a toilet flange and an air cleaner, and you have a low-buck intake. Then wrap it in vinyl to make it pretty

The thermostat housing I used swivels 360 °. It's Mr. Gasket 2670. Maybe this can help achieve your goals.
