Default Swapping 97 truck motor into 86 camaro

I have a 1997 suburban that I want to take the l31 vortex motor and pcm out of and put into my 86 the top camaro I'm just wondering what parts I will need to change to get it to fit and run right and if the 700r will volt up to the motor and run right also and thank you in advanced for your guys help

What motor is in the camaro now? The 1997 motor is still basically a sbc so if you've already got a v8 in the car it will just be a straight swap with no issues. If your running the efi you will need to have the pcm setup for stand alone and strip down the harness to the bare essentials. This site has all the info you need for the pcm and harness.
