Default Fuel Delivery

Hey guys, im new to the forum, and Ls engines in general. My question is as follows:
I have a 1975 Caprice Classic Convertible. I am swapping the original sbc 400 with an LM7 and 4l60e tranny. ECM has been rewired to run in this setup. I plan on using my existing tank, with an external lp fuel pump, to an Edelbrock sump tank with hp fuel pump. My question is, will this work?
Am i missing anything as far as parts go with this setup? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

It will work, but seems a bit expensive with no real advantages. Why not change out the tank to an EFI tank? Can you fit the later model efi b body fuel tanks under there? They fit under the A body chevelles nicely, but I'm not familiar with the caprice.

Im not sure how expensive it is. An external fuel pump runs about $40 and Edelbrock Sump Kit is abut $599. All the aftermarket tanks for Bbodies that i have seen, are around $600.

Take a look into the Tanks Inc retrofit fuel module. They can be used in about any tank for $230

Another option would be the Aeromotive Phantom setups for about $450

Rock Auto list a tank for your car, 22 gallon $138. This would be an excellent place to start. Use an existing in-tank pump or build your own setup. My research indicated that an '88 Camaro pump, altho designed for 45 lbs will work just fine at 60 lbs on a stock LSx motor. All parts stores have them in stock at about $55 so on a trip far away from home there would be a replacement just around the corner. How's that for an under $200 solution?

Not to hijack this older thread but did you have to set the engine back 1” with your set up? Running the same on my 75 caprice
