Default Removal of hydro steering return on PS pump

Hi all, I'd just like to say thanks in advance.

My power steering pump is taking up some precious space. I removed my steering box, and I THINK the hydroboost return is ruining my install here.

1) is that the hydroboost return?

and if so,

2) what is the best way to plug off flush? can i cut it off, drill it out and then plug from the inside and epoxy in? Or just try and source a pump from a non- hydroboost vehicle?

Epoxy might work for awhile but I wouldn't consider that a lifetime solution. I cut off most of it and crimped what was left and put a couple hot spot welds on it.

Is drilling out and filling hoke with welder an option?

stick a piece of 1/4" rod into it, and then pry it up towards the steering pump. It will bend. Then cap it. Or if you really want to seal it right, weld it. But I strongly suggest trying to make the complete system a hydroboost system. I will never drive another classic without doing hydroboost.

If you are near Nashville I'll trade you a non-hydroboost pump for it
