Default ICTBillet LS Adapters in my 96 LT1 Firebird.

SFI Flexplate with adapter.

Engine and Transmission together

Waiting to go in.

Driver Side

Passenger Side

Oil Pan Fitment

Engine sitting in car. Everything lined up.

THE WRONG WAY TO MOUNT THE PASSENGER SIDE

Driver Side mount

New Oild pan gasket and pickup tube.

Jegs oil Pan

Again.

I wanted to let everyone know that I used the ICTBillet LS engine mount adapters to put a 5.3 in my lt1 firebird. They worked out great. Everything lined up perfect.

I searched and searched for information of using adapter plates VS buying a K-Member and could not find any definitive info so hopefully this helps someone in the future.

Here is a link to the adapters I used.

Those are the same adapter plates I use for almost every swap. I have a ton of them sitting in my garage.

I use them and all of there other ls related products also. For the price, they are as good as it gets.

I plan on using some of their other products as well. I was really impressed with the quality and price.

I know these have been used a lot with other swaps but, I could not find any info specific to the lt1 to ls1 in a 4th gen F-Body. The few threads i saw said you need 1in setback but never saw a confirmation of that. These worked out great though.

I’m in the same boat right now and am glad I found this thread! You didn’t have any issues with the driver side mount such as clearance or not using the 3rd bolt?
