Why go to a 4l60? Seems like a step backwards why not an 80e

Do you know the specific differences between torque tubes? Different length?

I know, NT05R's are drag radials, the non R versions (what you have) are just a performance tire.

the problem is the 6l80 can't reliably hold the power I am making. I actually detuned and the car with a 10 pound waste gait spring. is put down about 700 hp. The last transmission I rebuilt had every good part available. It lasted 8 weeksand 1 trip to the dragstrip. after to transmission failures i'm done with the 6l80.

the 4l60e that RPM is buildingwill easily hold 800 rwhp. I will be turning up the boost with this transmission.

I'm going to have to change the name of the thread:

the 4l60e swap is completed. It’s actually pretty involved. You need a 2005 Corvette torque tube And a c6 manual differential. I ended up using a z06 diff. I had to slightly modify the rear cradle for the deep oil pan. Z06 diff with the cooler bypassed
This is where the cradle was modified

New z06 diff
New and old diff

More cradle mods
Back in the ground
Alignment

Tcm harness
Cradle mod
New torque tube
