Default V6 Bird ls1 swap Cost

I can get a good deal on a wrecked 2000 firebird formula with t56 right now(was rolled), it still runs and drives it's just the body and roof is all smashed. I can pickup a v6 4th gen bird for like a G like anywhere it seems like. Say I buy both, how much would a shop charge me for doing the whole swap? Motor, tranny, fuel stuff, springs, gauge cluster, the whole dam thang. And if so where? Mesa AZ cat ear, thanks

Would be cheaper to find a good running formula or t/a than the cost of the swap.

Welcome to LS1tech. I'm in Mesa AZ and could do the swap, but as said it would be cheaper to just buy a Z28 or formula. Personally if you could get the LS1/T56 car cheap I would pick it up and find something more interesting to swap it into.

Thanks for the welcoming! I like the look of the 4th gen firebird, yes it would be sweet to slap it into something unexpected, but still like the firebird. from what I could gather on this forum it definitely seems like lots a labor for a rookie like myself to do an entire swap like that, that's why I'd be willing to pay a shop to do it. I'm really just looking for a ball park estimate of how much it would cost say labor wise? if I already had both cars.

I would say with engine and trans, expect to be charged no less than $4000 in labor.

Most shops charge ~3500 labor to swap just the engine.
