Default 1988 Porsche 944 LM7 swap

i assume this is the place to post this,
Im thinking of doing an LS/LM swap into my 944.
My neighbors have an LM7 in their backyard that they’ll sell me for around $400. I need the reliability and power that comes from modern American muscle. The bad thing is, the truck intake wont clear my hood as far as i know. I was looking for options of what to do. LS1 intake? LS6 intake? Injectors? The 5.3 LM7 is just an LS with a truck intake isnt it? Like the dimensions are the same

LS6 intake will do you well. All LS engines are the same general dimensions.

There are tall ones and short ones. You will have to figure those out, as I really don't know
