Jeep L92 swap questions??? Hello. Ok I have searched and have not found the answers I am looking for. I am swapping a L92/6L80E from a 2008 escalade into my 1982 Jeep J20, and would like the tap shift, tow/haul, and cruise to work. So I read I need a body control module from a like kind vehicle. So I got a used one off ebay, and now looking into all the wiring to make it work with the E38 and TCM. Can I program the BCM to get rid of functions I don't want / need with the Chinese clone of the tech 2? Has anyone done this swap using the BCM? I have searched here, google, and other gm truck forums, and no positive response. Thanks for any input.

You don't need the bcm for tap shift, tow/haul or cruise. It can all be done from the e38. Mine is from Speartech and I have no bcm. It's an LS3/6L80E in a 97 TJ. I'm using a camaro shifter with the tap shift.
